Midwest Living Review
Opened by the mother-daughter team of Anne Bollin and Cathi O'Malley, 26 years ago, this popular women's clothing, footwear, and accessories store draws enthusiastic customers from up to several hours away. It was a multi-room extravaganza of brightly colored imported sandals and clogs, and natural fiber clothing, from silky rayon to lusciously soft cotton. Long flowing skirts, and dresses or blouses with delicate lace and embroidery juxtaposed with jeans and leather jackets. The shop was a riot of color, from pale pastels paired with dove gray and watercolor patterns, in one room, to brilliant turquoise and crimson hues that colored dresses and tops, in another room. Floor-level display cases offered silver-studded black leather belts and beaded necklaces, as well as Native American sashes and bracelets. Vintage-inspired jewelry sat beside sterling pieces with semi-precious stones, and designer Maruca handbags, from Boulder, CO featured 100 percent U.S.-made jacquard woven fabrics. There were jeans and leather jackets, and even a bridal section with unusual bridal and bridal party clothing. Women who love natural fibers and comfortable clothing designs could easily spend an afternoon here. Those who like to look great will also find everything they need to create a chic appearance, from head to toe.
