Midwest Living Review

Trevor Meers
Entree prices for this South American cuisine may be a bit steep, but the restaurant's beautiful hillside setting almost makes up for it.

This Argentinian-themed, hillside resturant's setting can't be beat. Huge windows in the airy, casual dining room overlook Parkville, with Park College's Gothic stone buildings standing across the valley. A deck with fire pit provides a few spots for outdoor dining. The menu focuses on grilled meats and seafood, and while the menu claims to represent South American cuisine, most diners won't find the choices exceptionally exotic. One highlight: The chimichurri and aioli sauces served with the bruschetta. Our entrees of grilled-meat skewers and grilled salmon with garlic butter sauce were flavorful and filling, but the tab (about $30/person without drinks) seemed high, and the service was disappointing. The kitchen reported they were out of the seafood ravioli we ordered (at 6:30 on a Saturday evening), and there was a long wait for our entrees. The manager apologized for the delay and blamed it on a party of 40 in the back room. Our table of five got three free desserts to compensate, but we'd rather they simply anticipate the challenge of booking large parties.
