Midwest Living Review
Operating since 1888, Hotel Savoy is a blend of history, elegance and modern-day convenience. The stunning Victorian style, enormous stained-glass dome by the lobby and antique-filled rooms remind guests of the hotel's glamorous past. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property was renovated into bed-and-breakfast suites during the 1980s. Room prices start at $99. Guests can choose from three room styles: Victorian Room (king bed), Victorian Suite (queen bed with sitting room), and Deluxe Victorian Suite (queen or king bed with sofa sleeper, sitting room, fireplace and 1.5 baths). The complimentary breakfast at the adjoining Savoy Grill features such gourmet options as lobster bisque, seafood gumbo, roast beef hash, scallopine of veal marsals, smoked salmon with caviar, crab meat pastries, and plenty of freshly baked bread. The grill also offers a full menu for gourmet lunches, dinners, desserts and drinks. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Kansas City near area attractions.
