Midwest Living Review
This new gallery makes up an important part of Hannibal's burgeoning arts scene.
One of Hannibal's 1800s buildings has been restored into a sleek and modern art gallery, which is also fully accessibly. Rotating exhibits include solo shows, group shows, themed exhibits (one on Twain-inspired art is on the books for 2010) and more. Local and regional artists are highlighted regularly, so this is a great place to find the many talented folks in the area. The building also has a small performing arts space. The Hannibal Arts Council produces the fall Folklife Festival, which has run for more than 30 years. The 1800s-theme festival includes artists and craftspeople, traditional music and foods, demonstrations and a special children's area.
