Midwest Living Review
Knitting is undergoing a triumphant renaissance, and more and more of these boutique supply shops are popping up. Many of the smaller ones can't afford to stock big-name yarn lines, but this one -- located at the foot of Stillwater's shopping district -- does. Find large collections of Rowan, Malabrigo, Spud & Chloe and Blue Sky Alpaca, as well as hand-dyed yarns and local gifts. And the space, located inside the Brick Alley building, is much bigger than it looks -- be sure and walk all the way to the back, past the bolts of Amy Butler, Alexander Henry, Michael Miller and FreeSpirit fabric, where you'll find a sunny spot with a couple of couches and some toys to keep the kids occupied. It's as much about the space and camaraderie here as it is about the product lines. There's also a classroom, if you're local, for aspiring knitters, crocheters, felters, hand-sewers, and future sewing machine wizards.
