Kahler Inn and Suites

One of three Kahler properties within a stone's throw of Mayo Clinic, Kahler Inn and Suites has the most in common with a typical franchise property (think Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express). Rooms are modern and comfortable, with rates averaging about $99 for doubles to $159 for mini suites. Amenities include complimentary hot breakfast, free Internet access, and a recreation center with an indoor pool and whirlpool, a fitness center and a game area. Cleanliness and routine maintenance could be better. Like the other Kahler properties, the hotel caters to patients of Mayo Clinic. Not quite as close as the Kahler Grand or International Hotel, it's connected to the medical complex (and the associated 60-plus Grand shops) via subway. It positions itself as ideal for longer-term stays: The property allows pets and some rooms have mini kitchens. It's also a good choice for guests not coming to Rochester for the clinic because it has the added convenience of on-site parking.
