Rhino's Pizza and Sub Shoppe

Rhino's Pizza and Sub Shoppe looks like a pretty standard no frills sandwich shop, and for the most part it is. But there are a few specialties that make for a tasty and quick lunch. Burgers are hand-formed, flavorful patties for under $4, with one exception. The Rhino Deluxe Burger (the most expensive at $4.99) is a half-pound patty formed to fit a hoagie roll, with a couple slices of bacon, melted Swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions and a side of special sauce (which seemed like a sweet Ranch dressing with feta cheese in it). The burger was tasty, the combo of cheeses and ingredients interesting a nice burger for the price. There's also a selection of grilled sourdough sandwiches for $5.15, including the Southwest deluxe burger sandwich served patty-melt style inside grilled sourdough with a smear of cheddar cheese and a nice cool n' spicy sauce. Guests staying at the nearby Cedar Valley Resort (with full kitchen amenities in every cabin) might want to consider the $1-off take-and-bake option on Rhino's pizzas, which could be an inexpensive way to feed the family.
