Midwest Living Review
Two miles south of Eveleth, the cozy little K and B Cafe n BBQ stands at the ready to serve up good old Texas-style barbecue, burgers and broasted chicken. Year-round carhop service makes meals here even more fun.
Owners and pit-masters Lee and Candy Reimer stoke the fires to turn out tender ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken wings, all slow-roasted over mesquite wood with a secret-recipe dry rub. BBQ dinners run $9.99 for a half-rack of ribs to $18.99 for a full rack, or sample a bit of everything with a sharable pit platter that includes choice of three meats, potato or onion rings, slaw and garlic toast for $24.99. The English-style pasties are an added–and unexpected—menu attraction, little handheld pockets of dough wrapped around savory fillings like potato, beef and chicken.
K and B is open for lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
