Midwest Living Review
Moms ready to relax with the aroma of lime, mint, rosemary and lavender go to Grand View Lodge Resort's Arts and Crafts-style Glacial Waters Spa. Guests wrap up in soft robes, sip hot tea and lounge by the fireplace before heading for fragrant soaks, deep massages and pedicures. "On a busy Saturday, we have more than 100 appointments," says Cathy Clark, who welcomes guests at the reception area. "They come from all over the country--mothers, daughters and girlfriends." The relaxing begins alongside a crackling fire in the waiting room, where soaring windows look out onto a forested view. Service providers are cheery and welcoming, and rates for services are about what you'd expect at a high-end resort like Grand View ($80 for a four-season pedicure, plus gratuity). It's definitely a splurge, but if you're looking to treat yourself, this is the place.
