Brandenburg Gallery

The work of Ely resident and former "National Geographic" photographer Jim Brandenburg can be found throughout the area, including at the Grand Ely Lodge. Brandenburg spent much of his life traveling the world on assignment for "National Geographic," but this gallery focuses mainly on his local photography. The gallery is clean, spacious and sparsely decorated. The focus is definitely on the walls displaying dozens of shots, mainly from within the Boundary Waters. He's most known for his approach to wolf photography. Other popular subjects include loons, fish, deer, rabbits and other Northern wildlife. In addition to prints, his latest books and films are also for sale.
