Clamshell Beach Resort

With a welcome board listing all the guests and where they are from, Clamshell Beach is hanging onto its small-resort vibe—even though its spacious townhomes can compete with bigger resorts. It doesn't get much more playful or personal than its splashy Dock of Fame above the registration desk and small store. Former guests have gotten creative with designs and painted their own dock board, which is proudly displayed above the coffee and slushie counter. Guests can also borrow croquet sets, baseballs and gloves, tennis racquets and beach toys or go upstairs to the movie library and game room.
