Perched on a hill overlooking the harbor in Grand Marais, the Hilltop Cabins and Motel is an ideal family resort, with everything from grills and picnic tables to a giant chess set.
The Hilltop Cabins and Motel perches on a hill about a mile from Grand Marais. The five-unit motel has been spruced up with log-and-rock siding and a metal roof; two of the motel rooms have kitchenettes. There are seven cabins with living rooms, kitchens, and one to three bedrooms. Two of the cabins are new, three-bedroom log structures. Everything here is clean and simply furnished in the Up North style. Guests can enjoy grills, picnic tables, a campfire pit, a giant chess set, basketball hoop, free Wi-Fi and a nice deck with a view of the harbor. A chain-hotel-style breakfast is available. Pets are welcome.
