Midwest Living Review
This market, open Saturdays from June through mid-December, offers local produce and more.
Make your way to the Marquette Commons on Saturdays from June through mid-December to sift through a variety of locally grown fruits, vegetables and meats. On the summer day we visited, the busiest booth offered freshly picked Michigan peaches. Other highlights include an upscale beehive, bird's-eye maple cutting boards, locally canned jams and jellies, jewelry and eye-popping bouquets of flowers grown nearby. The entire event is free and, like most Midwest farmers markets, it's always fun way to savor fresh, local food and meet the farmers and artisans.
