Midwest Living Review
Husband-and-wife team Bill and Julee Rosso Miller have owned Wickwood Inn since the early 1990s. Prior to that, Julee, a celebrated cookbook author, spent time in New York City where she co-founded The Silver Palate gourmet take-out. So you know your food at Wickwood will be terrific. You'll have plenty of opportunities to sample it, too, as guests are provided with champagne brunch, afternoon and nighttime treats and evening wine and hors d'oeuvres. Julee and Bill like to use local foods and let the natural flavors shine, so preparations are creative and simple. If you manage to tear yourself away from the wonderful food, genuine hospitality and sumptuous decor in the 1930s white-frame Colonial's 11 guest rooms and four living rooms, you'll find Saugatuck's downtown just a short walk away. Shops, galleries, the waterfront and more lie within an easy stroll. From $225.
