Manistee Spirits of the Lakes

September 12, 2014

The evening begins with a guided exploration of the these veteran lake ships, the SS City of Milwaukee and the USCGC Acacia. Your guides will detail for you the history of these historic vessels, as well as some of the most notable unexplained events that have been reported over the course of their decades of service. At the conclusion of the guided portion of the tour, you are invited to stay and explore the ships' vast interiors at your own pace. Manistee Community Farmers' & Artisans' Marke

Saturdays through September 27th 

The Manistee Community Kitchen is currently planning the upcoming 2014 Manistee Community Farmers' & Artisans' Market and have some exciting new additions and changes to this year's market. The market is now solely run by The Manistee Community Kitchen. They are adding local Artisans to the mix for added interest and the opportunity for local individuals to share their talents and gifts to our community. It is a juried market, where diverse quality goods will be voted upon. The location of the Manistee Community Farmers' & Artisans' Market is the same as last year, on Memorial Drive across from the Dial-A-Ride building. Paint the Town Pink

Join in hundreds of area people as they walk for the cure!  Manistee's 6th annual paint the town pink features a downtown walk that takes you past area businesses decked out in all pink storefronts. Enjoy the haunted house, hayride and corn mazes?  Well then this is right up your alley.  Come out to see the Manistee Ghost Ship aboard the historic S.S.
