Midwest Living Review
The menu at Kennedy's in Waterford, Michigan, is pretty extensive for a pub. They serve everything from corned beef sandwiches to ribs. The decor gives the place an Irish vibe, but the food is all-American. A favorite with regulars is the Kennedy's Classic ($7.49). This half-pound, cooked-to-order burger comes with your choice of American or Swiss cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles. Sides are french fries or coleslaw. The burger is one of the best we've had in this part of the state, with drippy juiciness and fresh toppings, but it doesn't quite live up to the "it's worth an hour's drive to order one of these burgers" standard. The atmosphere at Kennedy's is laid-back. Countless visitors have carved their names or heartfelt expressions of love into the table tops. The place has a sports-bar vibe, and the bar keeps pretty busy in the evenings. All winter long you can come to hear live Irish music, and closer to St. Patrick's Day, the place is completely decked out in green.
