Hessel Grocery and Deli

This charming little mom-and-pop shop has five tables for in-house dining and chatting with the locals, or you can pick up groceries or deli items to go. Breakfast is served all day, as well as soup -- we recommend the chili -- sandwiches, burgers, pizza, hot dogs and ice cream. A customer favorite is the Barney Beagle, a hot dog loaded with German slaw, chili, cheese, onions and peppers and served with chips ($3.99). The grocery, meanwhile, provides fresh meat and fish and a full liquor selection. It's also a high-speed Internet cafe.
