Midwest Living Review
With a nice selection of unique candy in a quaintly decorated old house, Zak's exudes that Frankenmuth feeling.
Among the numerous fudge and candy shops sprinkled throughout Frankenmuth, Zak's stands out for its setting in a historic house. It has the quaint touches you'd expect to find in a Bavarian candy shop -- dainty lace curtains, creaky wood floors and a saleswoman wearing a dirndl and kerchief. The candy selection is impressive as well, with champagne and raspberry truffles, giant peanut butter cups, candied almonds (in the German tradition), and chocolate covered pretzels. If you stop by at the right time, you can watch the candy-making process in the room across the hall from the display cases.
