Midwest Living Review
You can't go to Detroit without eating ribs, and who better to turn to for recommendations than the locals. When we asked, the answer was usually Sweetwater Tavern. For good reason: It doesn't disappoint. The tangy, tender ribs are fabulous and come with a sweet potato and fried corn; it's a huge portion for $14. The wings also have a great reputation. The ambience is just as impressive. A neat old building, it has brick walls, high ceilings and a casual, corner-bar kind of feel right in the middle of downtown. And the locals put their money where their mouth is: They packed the place on Thursday night.
