Midwest Living Review
This airy, attractive restaurant on Broadway overlooks Grand Circus Park with floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap the dining room. Located across from the Detroit Opera House and within walking distance of the Comerica Park, the restaurant serves traditional Italian food. A typical antipasti selection includes artisan salami and cured meats served with Pecorino Romano cheese ($10/$14). One of the inventive pasta dishes is a sweet potato gnocchi with caramelized onion, pear and gorgonzola in a cream sauce ($16.50). They also serve a good mix of pizza, sandwiches and house-smoked organic meats. The antipasti bar has an open kitchen view, and the full bar highlights Detroit's own Motor City Brewing Works and a large selection of Michigan-made wines to complement the food.
