Midwest Living Review
Hotel at Old Town relishes its history. Built in 1906, the hotel still maintains much of its original architecture and recalls Wichita's history with old photographs and memorabilia in its atrium and public spaces. But guests won't lack for modern hotel amenities. Each room is furnished with a CD player and a full kitchen. There is no hotel restaurant, but the lobby pantry offers a wide array of items for preparing your own in-room breakfast, and plenty of dining and shopping options are nearby. Business conveniences include complimentary Internet access, voicemail and a full-size desk. The hotel offers a nice fitness room, and most rooms have balconies overlooking either the atrium or downtown Wichita. A comfortable atrium bar offers live piano music in the evening. Room rates from $130 to $200. Be aware, however, that Hotel at Old Town can be noisy. River City Brewery sits right across the street, buzzing with music and conversation late into the night, especially on weekends.
