Gracious service, delicious gourmet breakfast and comfortable rooms in a historic home define a stay at Abilene's Victorian Inn.

Staying at Victorian Inn gives you insight into Abilene's cow town history while providing all the conveniences today's travelers expect. The restored, rambling 1887 Victorian home listed on the Historic Register of Kansas Places stands within blocks of Abilene's Five-Star Museum District, parks and shops. Appointed with period-appropriate artwork, linens and furnishings, the 6,000-square-foot inn's spacious sitting and dining rooms have two pianos (one once played by Nat King Cole). A trained chef, innkeeper Adrian Potter bakes all her breakfast breads, cookies and cakes. She's also a tea connoisseur. A typical breakfast includes a choice of juices, a fresh fruit and granola parfait, tasty coconut-pecan French toast and bacon, all served on fine china. The entryway's winding carved staircase leads to five large guest rooms with private baths, cable and VCRs. An attic suite accommodates families or girlfriend groups. Smoke-free, the comfortable inn has free Wi-Fi, a movie library, bicycles and self-serve snacks available 24/7. Rates from $79; Adrian's personal attention to her guest's tastes and knowledge of Abilene history, restaurants and attractions more than makes up for some mild guest room wear at her gracious inn.
