Midwest Living Review
Open since 2008, Screaming Eagle is a typical sports bar/restaurant, with rock-'n'-roll dcor, live music on Fridays and Saturdays and lots of neon signs and beer posters. The owners say they serve "real food for real people." That basically means bar food, but the menu includes some sandwiches that are quite delicious. Try Screaming Eagle's most popular sandwich, the Talon--roast beef, onions, mushrooms, and melted Swiss on toasted whole wheat. It's messy but very filling, and it comes with thick, crispy fries. The prices here are relatively inexpensive--the Talon will run you $7.25. When it's warm outside, Screaming Eagle hosts Bike Nite on Thursdays, drawing a crowd of motorcycles and old cars on the street outside.
