Midwest Living Review
B&B on Broadway is one of the newest players to enter the lodging market in Decorah, Iowa. Opened in 2006, the three-story inn maintains its original Victorian charm but has plenty of updates. Guests can stay in one of four standard rooms on the second floor. The rooms are small but each features a deluxe bathroom complete with massaging showerhead. Tastefully placed period antiques decorate the rooms. Room rates range from $70 to $110, depending on season. The Royale Suite takes up the entire third floor and includes a sitting area with a widescreen HD-TV, a kitchenette, a king bed and a reading nook in the turret. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bathtub as well as a stand-up shower that serves as a sauna with an aromatherapy unit. Rates range seasonally from $100 to $165. Your stay includes a gourmet breakfast ranging from hearty egg casseroles to caramel French toast, with specialty flavored coffees. Each guest also gets a big, comfy bathrobe, which we thought was a nice touch. Built by a Norwegian immigrant 1910, the home was constructed entirely of durable firebrick, which accounts for how well it has aged. A three-story turret with a witches' hat roof is the home's dominating feature.
