Midwest Living Review
With a laid-back feel, this order-at-the-counter restaurant specializes in grilled mahimahi tacos and three-piece fish-and-chips dinners. Other menu items include a spicy calamari burrito; po' boy sandwiches; a mixed-grill platter with salmon, swordfish, shrimp and scallops; or fried platters of just about anything -- oysters, frog legs and a variety of fish. Most items run $9.99 to $16.50. We liked the grilled mahimahi taco, served with shredded cheese, a slathering of fresh tomato salsa and drizzle of sour cream on a soft-shell tortilla. You can get it with a vinegar-based slaw on the side and crispy waffle fries. The decor pulls together rustic touches such as corrugated steel around the bar with fancier elements such as blue-glass pendant lights above it. If your appetite's light and the weather's warm, grab a cold martini and mini crab cakes for the patio or creamy desserts such as Key lime or peanut butter ice cream pies.
