Midwest Living Review
The New Harmony Inn and Conference Center is a tranquil getaway, with 90 rooms tucked away in small buildings throughout the complex. Many have private balconies or patios with a lake view, where guests can curl up with a book and listen to the sound of the small waterfall. The inn also manages several historic guest houses nearby for groups who want more privacy. It's not at all uncommon to spend the night here, thinking you're all alone, only to wake and see other guests at breakfast and wonder, "Where did all these people come from?" It's an utterly peaceful spot. The rooms here are simple, in keeping with the town's Harmonist heritage, but they are comfortable and clean, and the hotel offers a wide range of amenities, from free wireless Internet access to Continental breakfast. The inn also has a rental service for golf carts -- the transportation of choice for locals tooling around tiny New Harmony. Room rates are on the high side, starting at $135. Don't miss the Red Geranium Restaurant, which is part of the hotel complex and offers the best fine dining in town.
