Midwest Living Review
Home to one of Indiana’s largest Amish communities, Goshen (population: 32,000) continues to hold onto the authentic rural charm that draws visitors to northern Indiana, but there’s a bit more diversity here than in surrounding villages like Nappanee and Middlebury. Amid traditional Amish restaurants and shops, Goshen guests can also discover surprises like Asian and tapas eateries, trendy coffee shops, and a burgeoning arts and culture scene.
A weekly farmers market and monthly First Friday events offer excellent opportunities to explore the downtown district, and walking/biking paths traverse the Maple City Greenway and Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. The LVD Concert Hall hosts live musical performances in genres like blues, Celtic and folk; the Constant Spring makes the perfect setting for a nightcap after a show.
