Village Market and Antiques

Across the street from the French Lick Resort is the one shop worth visiting in this downtown area. Village Market and Antiques' most interesting and unique merchandise is its collection of Larry Bird memorabilia, but it also has rooms full of dolls, Christmas and country crafts, and French Lick souvenirs. The second floor teems with antiques and garage sale items. "When you walk through the store, you don't shop. You remember," owner Marilyn Fenton says.If you don't like to shop, sit and chat with Marilyn. She is a friendly, storytelling local historian. She has many stories to tell about NBA star Larry Bird, who called himself the hick from French Lick.
