Midwest Living Review
Strawberry Fields Mercantile is located on the town square in Hope, Indiana, a small community founded in the 1800s by Moravian religious believers and marked by a friendly, open philosophy.
Not every antiques store can get away with using vintage sheet music as wallpaper, but at Strawberry Fields, it seems to strike just the right note. Give yourself plenty of time to browse—this store is roomy and well-stocked. The diverse inventory includes many antique furnishings, such as a rope-bed for $329, an old drop-side Art Deco toaster for $29 and a (working!) wooden pump organ for $399.
You’ll discover Aunt Aimee’s Country Tearoom at the back of the spacious building; the delicious chicken salad served in a bread bowl is a great choice for lunch ($7.99 with a side dish), especially when washed down with a glass of blackberry lemonade. The tearoom is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the menu changes weekly.
