Midwest Living Review
Directly on Columbus’ resurgent Washington Street, Papa’s Deli is a convenient place to grab a quick bite. And what a bite it is.
The meat loaf sandwich features a tender slab of tasty meat loaf big enough to hang over the bread, along with tomato, fresh-cut onion and lettuce that will make you forget all about dreading this budget-saving staple. Alternatively, you can go with pulled pork barbeque, the Beefer (your choice of pastrami, corned beef or roast beef on swirly rye), or a gyro with cucumber dressing that provides a taste of authentic Greek flair. All sandwiches cost $6.29.
Delicious soups come with bread for dipping, and Papa’s employees hand out chips as if they grew wild on the trees lining Columbus’ downtown district. When the weather’s nice, sit at one of the sidewalk tables out front as you plan your next shopping attack.
