Midwest Living Review
On an idyllic stretch of US-41 crowded with farm markets, the Big Peach Market offers something unique: a classic roadside photo op with a giant metal peach. The market has been in business for 55 years, and older customers now bring their grandchildren to this Knox County landmark for the same Kodak moment they experienced as kids. Inside the old-fashioned market, you'll find a bewildering array of peach-based products, such as cider, butter, preserves, salad dressings and the best fresh peaches outside of Georgia. The market also stocks other beloved Indiana foods, such as Dillman Farm preserves and Sechler's pickles, and plenty of gifts and fun country-style knickknacks. The market is open from mid-May to the first week of November. Knox County is known as the melon capital of Indiana, but it's the peaches--both real and metallic--that are worth a trip.
