Shop for gourmet goodies and home decor at these sister stores.

These partner boutiques -- Cobblestones on the Square and Seasons by Peg -- are a sure bet for a pick-me-up purchase. At gourmet foods and candy store Cobblestones, the spotless glass counter displays up to 30 kinds of hand-dipped chocolates, turtles, toffees and 100 bulk-candy favorites ($4 half a pound). Homer's Gourmet Ice Cream is scooped. Paula Deen, Stonewall and Fischer and Weiser gourmet mixes, jams, soups and spreads line country-kitchen shelving. Some artsy women's clothing (hand-knit sweaters, funky purses and jewelry) and small home decor items (lamps with toile shades) are in the back of the store. Sister shop Seasons by Peg is loaded with home-decorating eye candy. Like a black box theater, this imaginative store sets the scene for every season and holiday with creative tableware, accessories, flower arrangements. Peg changes merchandise monthly. In spring, puffy clouds dangle from the ceiling, and bunny rabbits nibble on picnic fare under a vintage iron gazebo. Summer travel-theme merchandise reflects tropical, seaside, Tuscan and North Woods destinations. Grinning pumpkins and life-size witches take up residence come Halloween. During the holidays, a forest of ornate Christmas trees dripping with artisan ornaments, $3 and up, fill the space. Artists represented year-round include Mark Roberts Fairies, $30-$100 each, Fitz and Floyd tableware, Katherine's Collections dolls (pieces from $250 to $1,000) and Peggy Karr glassworks, $30-$80. Can't afford to own or store all the seasonal decor you want? Good news:You can rent Peg's merchandise displays.
