Midwest Living Review
What better way to spend a summer evening than watching theater under the stars? Four plays are presented every summer at this outdoor theater, located beside a pond on the Rock Valley College campus. Students and community members, including professional actors as well as amateurs, perform on a stage with a retractable roof. The tradition began in 1966 with "Finian's Rainbow," and more than 100 plays have been performed since. Rock Valley College also includes the Studio Theatre, which hosts more intimate plays the rest of the year.
