Midwest Living Review
You may be baffled by this chocolate shop's display case of stiletto heels and and designer purses until you realize that they are actually incredibly realistic chocolate replicas. The proprietor, who studied chocolate-making at prestigious schools in France and Vancouver, is a skilled sculptor of sweet stuff. These sweets contain no artificial preservatives, colors, flavors or wax. Exotic treats include chocolate-covered bacon, jalapeos and jasmine flowers, but more conventional truffles are available, too. The shop sells chocolates reportedly similar to those enjoyed centuries ago by historical figures including Mozart, Casanova, Cardinal Richelieu and the Medicis. And if you have your own ideas for something made out of chocolate, note the Web site's promise: Special requests taken seriously.
