Carlyle Brewing

Looking through the windows at Carlyle Brewing, you'll see a maze of giant vats and metal tubes. Inside, there's a dimly lit bar where you can sample what comes out of those vats. Beers on tap at the Rockford region's only microbrewery include five-malt ale, American strong ale, Belgian Tripel, India pale ale, Scottish ale, stout and vanilla cream ale. And for kids (or anyone who prefers a soft drink), Carlyle brews its own root beer. The menu offers basic pub food, including bratwurst, hot pretzels, sandwiches and pizza.
