Galena Garlic Company

They really ought to call this the Galena Olive Oil Company because the bulk of what they sell is infused olive oil. But what olive oil! You know they're pretty proud of their wares when they give you a little cup to "drink" the ones you're interested in. Sounds odd. Tastes great. This downtown Galena shop (plus a new location in Geneva) sells a lot of garlic-based products, including myriad meat rubs, flavored nuts and pickled garlic. And the smell inside this place, well, it's worth it just to come inside even if you have no intention of buying anything. We can recommend the olive-oil based soaps, as well, which we couldn't resist sampling. Don't worry, you won't go around smelling like salad dressing but your skin will thank you for it.
