The Galena Artisan Center is what you'd expect to see on Main Street Galena. Cute and packed to the gills, the shop is full of handmade items such as purses, hats, and magnets. More than 60 local and Midwest artists display photography, pottery, stained glass and other items in this shop, providing plenty of selection. It's similar to several stops along Main Street for shoppers looking to buy locally crafted gifts. And by that we mean, it isfine. It is cute. It has fun stuff. But it also feels like every other shop in on Galena's main drag. It is exactly the kind of shop that Main Street Galena is known for, the kind of shop Galena tourists expect, but the kind they might not notice was gone the next time they came back.
