Midwest Living Review
Sacred Art's logo -- a plump, passionate red heart crowned with a flame -- speaks to Sarah Chazin's love for struggling Chicago artists and her mission to ignite their creative careers. Her shop serves as an alternate gallery-marketplace for more than 50 burgeoning local artists to sell their work. Paintings, prints, photography, ceramics, jewelry and paper creations are attractively displayed in this edgy studio store. All pieces are quality and affordable, sold on consignment with half of the selling price going to the artist. Stop in or shop the on-line galleries. A dozen handmade notecards, $12, bead earrings for $20 and a graphic ceramic mug, $25, are all thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts. Photography averages $60 a print whereas paintings range from $45 to $1,000. Sacred Art hosts openings and workshops with featured artists. Who knows? That Chicagoan's early work that caught your eye may be considered a masterpiece one day.
