Midwest Living Review
Use it or lose it, they say. This Lincoln Square store claims that playing mind games is the cure for brain drain. Solving puzzles, deciphering word games and exercising hand-eye coordination build comprehension, retention, critical-thinking skills and dexterity. Merchandise goes way beyond popular brain bender Sudoku to include throwback favorites Rubik's Cube and Scrabble as well as ancient games, such as backgammon and the Gordian Knot puzzle. Other favorites are Labyrinth, Gobblet, Tangoes and Flip Floggs. Prices are as varied as the mental challenges offered: $7 for a Tantrix pack, $11 plus for puzzles and $30 and up for advanced games, building sets, gift packs and brain-boosting software. Shoppers are welcome to outsmart each other by playing games displayed throughout the open, airy store. Mind games have never been more fun.
