Frank Lloyd Wright in Oak Park, Ill.
Wright was not quite 22 years old in 1889 when he married his first wife, Catherine, and moved to Oak Park. Over the next quarter century he designed 25 residences and buildings in the community, including his own home and studio. Many are now on the National Register of Historic Places, and several are open for tours.
