It's taken 140 years and seen many manifestations, but this development at State and Randolph in the Loop finally seems ready to complement the shopping along State Street.
Higher-end boutiques and chain stores mix with locally owned shops and quick-serve restaurants. Magnolia Bakery opened in the fall, and a bigger restaurant should arrive later this year.
