In these B&Bs, you won't find small beds, shared baths, frumpy decor, overzealous innkeepers or too much lace. What you will find: luxurious linens, expertly prepared food from nearby sources, exquisitely maintained properties and modern amenities. (Not to mention hosts who balance gracious hospitality with a respect for privacy.) They also offer a variety of settings, whether you're looking for small towns, foodie flourishes, urban neighborhoods or countryside views.
