Kansas: Glacial Hills Scenic Byway four-state overlook

See Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa from a viewing platform in tiny White Cloud (population: 222), 85 miles northwest of Kansas City, Missouri. The town, on the bluffs of the Missouri River, lies at the northern end of the 63-mile Glacial Hills Scenic Byway.

The byway runs through rolling, wooded countryside and connects the towns of Leavenworth, Atchison and Troy with White Cloud. Be sure to stop at Jackson Park in Atchison for another scenic overview of the river. Click on the byway link below for a map and sample itinerary.
