At holiday time, Greenfield Village, a collection of historic buildings at The Henry Ford museum complex, feels like a page from a storybook. Take a carriage or Model-T ride to see the period holiday decorations, warm up in the blacksmith shop, chat with costumed interpreters and even take pictures with Santa and live reindeer. Overnight visitors can stay just across the street at the gracious Georgian-style Dearborn Inn. From January through mid-April, the village is closed for the season, but The Henry Ford Museum remains open, with more than enough to fill a day.
