  • 3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil, crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper


  1. In a storage container, combine all ingredients. Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days . Makes enough for 2-1/2 to 3 pounds meat.


  • Suggested Uses: Toss a couple of tablespoons with fresh vegetables before grilling. Rub on fish, chicken, pork, and beef before grilling (If using a cut of meat that is long cooking brush the rub on only for about the last 20 minutes.)
