Ingredients

  • 1/2 48 ounce package frozen Texas white or wheat rolls (12 rolls), thawed according to package directions
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Sliced almonds, sesame seeds, currants, and/or dried herbs

Directions

1. Using one roll, shape dough as you like into a form that is about 1/2-inch thick. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining rolls.

2. Let dough rise in a warm place until nearly double in size (about 30 minutes).

3. Beat together the egg white and milk. Gently brush over the top of the bread. Use almonds, sesame seeds, currants, and/or herbs to decorate the bread.

4. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until top is golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Makes 12 servings.
