Bonnie's Sensational Scones

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cut into pieces
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2/3 cup whipping cream
- 1 beaten egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon whipping cream
- Sugar
Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, the 3 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts.
2. In a small mixing bowl, combine 2 eggs, and the 2/3 cup cream. Add to flour mixture and stir until just moistened.
3. Using a 1/4-cup ice cream scoop, scoop dough, and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Dont flatten.
4. Combine the egg yolk and 1 tablespoon whipping cream. Brush over the top of the scones. Sprinkle some additional sugar over the scones.
5. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 15 minutes or until scones are golden. Remove from baking sheet. Cool on wire rack 5 minutes; serve warm.
