Potluck Pleaser Chili

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 11 ounce can pork and beans (undrained)
- 1 15 to 16 ounce can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 15 to 16 ounce can butter beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 14 1/2 ounce can diced tomatoes (undrained)
- 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup white wine vinegar
- 2 to 4 tablespoons packed dark brown
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- Sour cream
- Crisp-cooked bacon
Directions
In a 4-quart Dutch oven, cook beef until browned; drain off fat. Stir in pork and beans, kidney beans, butter beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup and molasses. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Serve topped with sour cream and bacon.







Very easy but doesn't have the complexity of a real chili - sweet beans with just a little beef - fun to try once as different from regular chili's but won't keep in recipe box...
