Mixology doesn't get any easier than this! Whip out this easy version of a classic Mexican cocktail for Cinco de Mayo, or just your average Taco Tuesday. The recipe comes from Kansas City's Mean Mule Distilling Co.

Ingredients

  • Kosher salt and a lime wedge (for rimming glass, optional)
  • 2 ounce (1/4 cup) silver or blanco tequila
  • 1/2 ounce (1 Tbsp.) lime juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 ounce (1/2 cup) grapefruit soda (Squirt or Jarritos)
  • 1 slice lime

Directions

  1. If desired, rim a Collins glass with salt by rubbing the rim with a lime wedge and dipping in salt on a plate. Fill glass with ice. Add tequila, lime juice and salt. Top off with soda. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Tip

  • You can also rim your glass with salt or a salt and sugar combo.
