No-Cook Salsa Verde

The avocado in this piquant puree of lime, cilantro, onion and tomatillos gives the salsa some richness and a tad bit of body.
fresh tomatillos, husks removed, rinsed and quartered
green onions, coarsely chopped
fresh jalapeno chile pepper, seeded (if desired) and coarsely chopped
avocado, seeded and peeled
- Puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. Chill, covered, for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours. Stir before serving.
